Dave & Jamie – Italian Villa

Dave & Jamie

Firstly congratulations……….

This was my first wedding of the summer season and what a wonderful curtain raiser it was.

I met Dave and Jamie through a recommendation and they booked last year.

As always the spring seems to rush through and as their day approached we had a few storms and torrential rain – I was hoping for a calmer day for them! Awaking on their wedding day the weather was near on perfect..

I arrived a little bit early at the Italian Villa, (Compton Acres) as I wanted a quick wonder around their stunning gardens to see which flowers / bushes /trees were in bloom.

This is when I saw the sunlight pushing through the gaps in the deciduous trees. It totally lit up the Japanese Garden area to near enough perfection. Just hold on a few more hours until 2pm and I’ll be back!

Jamie arrived in a beautiful wedding car from superwedcars – as she did so I spotted one of their guests peering through a window in the ceremony room desperate to catch a glimpse. It was a relaxed start as Jamie was very much on time so she had a few lovely moments with her bridesmaids and parents before she was told it was time!

Upstairs Dave started to look a touch nervous, but as soon the bridesmaids were walking down the Aisle he looked a little happier knowing Jamie was right behind them. Jamie walked down with her Mum and Dad and throughout the ceremony smiled constantly although she did start to get the giggles at one point but recomposed herself relatively quickly.

At the back of the room was an honoured guest their Labrador puppy – Barkley.

Barkley and Dave behaved perfectly throughout and soon the “kiss the Bride” moment had come. Lots of cheers and celebrations followed.

Barkley was key to a few of the group shots, whilst the guests milled around the wonderful gardens.

We were given an opportunity to use the Japanese gardens to their full and it looked stunning. As a photographer you can only dream of the stillness and light like this. What a fabulous start to the season!

I stayed through til First dance with them and as I said goodbye the evening party had properly begun!

To the guy with the ‘different’ tie – for the record I liked it – even though you mates didn’t.  Although not sure what that says about my fashion sense!!

Congratulations Jamie and Dave here is your wedding day ……..
