Adrian (almost know as – A Drain) & Loretta
Congratulations to you both on your marriage!
This beach wedding took place at The Sandbanks Hotel, Poole. I met both Adrian and Loretta at a wedding fayre in 2015, and after a few discussions regarding their plans they (thankfully!) decided to book me to capture their day. Adrian’s initial plan was to have a quick round of golf on the morning of the wedding, and I was due to meet him on the course for a few shots. However, as the big day approached, the reality emerged that he simply wasn’t going to fit it in; I think he was a touch disappointed, that is, until he watched Loretta walking down the aisle!
The service was really friendly and relaxed, so much so that Adrian and then Loretta got the giggles. Adrian was clearly eager to get married as he attempted to fly through his vows; the registrar made him pause for a moment and then repeat his promises as she hadn’t gotten through all the necessary “will you?” questions!
Afterwards, everyone had drinks and canapés outside overlooking the beach. It was such a stunning day. We had some group shots to get through prior to the wedding breakfast and whilst the guests were seated for the meal, Adrian and Loretta stole a few moments to themselves before being announced into the room.
“Ladies and Gentlemen” announced Adrian’s Dad proudly, “Before we stand, a cricket update”, cue an Usher, “England all out for 298, Sri Lanka 16-3”!
A big cheer from one section of the wedding party – the other section (Table 6 specifically, the ‘work’ girls) all looked at each other and classically said “I don’t know what that means!”.
After the speeches, we had a few ‘fun’ photos with the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen on the beach.
Their First Dance, played by the band, was ‘Rather Be’ by Clean Bandit …. incidentally one of my wife’s favourites!!
As I said farewell, the Compass Room at the Sandbanks was packed full of friends and family dancing – a good sign for the rest of the evening.
